Layoffs at First Peak Resources set for next week

By Lucas High

LOVELAND — The first round of layoffs at Peak Resources is expected on Jan. 7, following an announcement last year that the company would shut down operations in Loveland before the end of 2019. The Vancouver-based company, which provides monitoring and reliability coordination in the electric industry, plans to dismiss all 69 workers at its operation at 4850 Hahns Peak Drive, according to documents filed with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. The layoffs — which will impact a variety of workers, from software developers to interns to human resource managers — are expected to be complete by April 2020.
